My name is Catherine McMillan. After studying Art & Design at MacEwan, my desire for travel and my passion for drawing faces took me wandering around the world as a street artist. This extensive experience as an international caricature artist eventually led to many exciting illustration projects and opportunities such as being cast as a courtroom artist in the movie Small Sacrifices with Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal.
In the 90's I became a staple vendor on the Canadian Fringe Festivals circuit, drawing at well over 60 North American Fringe festivals including 26 consecutive years at the Edmonton Fringe.

In the 00's with 3 little kids at home, I narrowed my focus to drawing mostly around Edmonton at events. I joined the International Society of Caricature Artists and enjoyed exercising my travel muscles on ISCA conventions in places such as Spain, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Antonio, and St Petersburg, Florida.

In the 10's , I owned a cafe/studio called the Quirky Art Cafe where people could come get a coffee, take an art journaling class or get a caricature drawn. I even ventured into the caricatures on lattes world!

A few years ago, I closed my cafe and scaled back on some of the live caricature events so that I could focus primarily on my fine art painting.
Currently I spend the majority of my time painting in my cozy home studio and drawing caricatures at corporate events.
